100 Days of Gratitude - Day 34 - Netflix
Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 6:26PM I love movies. Love them.
I think they are the defining art form of our time. Other times have had paintings, theater, literature... we have movies as art. And I'm a movie (art) lover.
Netflix has made getting my fill of this art form easy and painless.
They've revolutionized how people rent movies. Through both DVD's in the mail (we've subscribed since we bought our first DVD player 2000 and moved to the country) and through streaming movies direct to our computers or even my iPad - it's never been easier to see the movies we want to see.
Plus... I don't have to rush to watch a movie. If we've got a movie we don't feel like we have to interrupt what's happening around us organically or else pay a late fee.
We've saved hours of time and hundreds of dollars because Netflix saw an opportunity, and then delivered a valueable service that we're happy to pay for.
Thanks for making it easy Netflix. You're square red envelopes make me smile.
Note: I misnumbered this one, it should have been 34, not 33 as originally posted. Also, you may note that some points are missed here. Those that can be summed up in a tweet or facebook post, are simply handled there. This is just where I write a bit more about what I'm thinking and why I'm grateful. Thank.
