Riding an elepant center ring in the Carson & Barnes Circus while visiting family in Iowa. Stuff like this happens to me all the time!
They, like music, just make me feel good. I become a child when I'm around them and when I see them.
I've been fortunate enough that I've ridden elephants several times, including three times in the circus - twice in the Center Ring, twice with the Carson and Barnes show, and once, as a kid in the Ringling Brothers Show.
They have taught me many lessons over the years through stories about how they're trained - though it's too late at night to share those stories right now.

I'm feeding an elephant out of my hands at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, WI in 2009. My hands were covered in slobber and I'd have stood there all day and let them be. It may have been the single greatest day ever! Enjoy the video of my and my family feeding the elephants.
