100 Days of Gratitude - Day 42 - Slippers
Monday, March 21, 2011 at 9:28AM My office is behind my house. Not in my house, but only steps away. So basically, I work at home when I'm not on the road.
Most days when I'm not leaving the house, you'll find me in a very comfortable pair of Rockport or Johnson and Murphy slippers. They're built like running shoes, but lighter, no laces and lined so I can just slip my feet into them. I'm wearing them right now. I get a new pair every year for Christmas - and LOVE the gift every year.
I often forget that I'm wearing them and will run errands in town while wearing my slippers. Fortunately they're not big bunnies or something like that (like my buddy Amtrekker wears), they look remarkably like shoes, so it's not too embarassing when I forget.
I'll even sometimes wear them coming home from a gig for the return flight. Easy to slip off on the airplane, easy to slip back on both on the plane and as we go through TSA.
