100 Days of Gratitude - Day 36 - Headset telephones
Friday, March 11, 2011 at 3:02PM I spend a lot of time on the phone. Way more than most people do, though not nearly as much as others.
I've been a big fan of headset telephones since I owned Balloons, Bears and Baskets back in the late 80's. I had one of the very first cordless headset phones that I got from The Sharper Image. Way before cordless phones had headset jacks built into them.
The advantage to a headset is that when I'm in the office I can be working on on the computer, taking notes, or if it's a personal call, I can even be cleaning, walking around the house and so on.
Most of all, using a headset when you talk on the phone allows you to have the posture and physiology of someone who is energized and enthusiastic, because it allows you to use your neck, head and both hands in the ways that you do when you are excited and energized instead of tieing you down.
As far as headsets and your cell phone. Use a headset if you are driving. Please. I know that I drive much worse if I don't have a headset in. Therefore, I always use a headset when driving. I hope you do too.
