100 Days of Gratitude - Day Nine - The Internet

I'm grateful for the internet.

For so many reasons I'm grateful. First off, I met Kim online 14 years ago. That's right, we met back in the early days of AOL when chatting with people from around the world in chatrooms was a novel idea. We also paid by the minute and often times had internet bills of $200+!

But beyond that, the internet has put me in touch, or back in touch, with so many wonderful people around the world that I may not have ever heard from again. It's opened up unlimited numbers of opportunities and it gives me instant access to whatever information I am seeking - and I'm an information junkie.

Later in this list there may be subcategories (ie. twitter, facebook etc.) of the Internet - but for now - I'm just thrilled to live in the time/place that I live. I'm excited about how far we've come within my lifetime and I just can't wait to see what technological advances are made next.

BTW - you can subscribe to this project via RSS feed. I did it by clicking on the RSS feed icon in the address bar of my browser. If you subscibe to RSS feeds - you probably already know how to do this. I don't do a lot of them - so I'm new to this aspect of the internet.
